How can the transparency and efficiency of the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance (OASI) expense model, particularly in its calculation methods for Swiss and foreign populations, be enhanced?

Abstract

In this article, Pipoz (2018) discusses the reasons why the Old-Age and Survivors Insurance (OASI) expense model was adapted in the spring of 2018.

One of the main objectives was to improve the transparency and efficiency of the computation. R was the preferred solution for achieving these objectives.

Furthermore, the calculation method was different for the Swiss and foreign populations. The R programming language allowed for a more efficient standardization of the model.
