What will be the impact of the Swiss “Pension Initiative” on retirement age, gender equality, and the pension system’s sustainability, and is the temporary age quotient reduction by 2060 a viable long-term solution?
Abstract
In this research project, Müller et al. (2022) analyze the effects of the Popular Initiative about the OASI Pensions on the labor market, the economy, the unemployment insurance, and the social benefits.
As a member of the support group comprised of legal experts, economists, and political scientists from the FSIO, I have made significant contributions to this document by providing a model calculation, a revision of the report, and engaging in discussions with the entity commissioned to draft this report regarding the model provided by the text of the initiative.
